Unique pieces cannot be replicated and often are the result of accidental mixes of color and pattern. Here, you are certain to find a veil or scarf which will be unique in this world.  Colors are infinite. There seems to be no end to the variations you can create by mixing, and on silk the colors are luminous. When we do the one of a kind pieces it becomes like painting in a way and sometimes the patterns and blends created are reminiscent of landscapes, beautiful sunsets, ocean life and natural patterns of form and light. The colors and the silk combine to make veils that you could hang as paintings or as room dividers or as curtains which become images of the same colors different from each other. It is the playful side of Nahari Silk Veils that comes through in these pieces. We offer them here as they are created so our pieces featured here are changing all the time. You can always check in from time to time to see what catches your fancy.

Our silk veils are made from 100% silk paj
and weigh 4 mm and our Silk Skirts weigh 8 mm .  This is the lightest weight of silk we can go without
compromising the strength and durability of the silk. Each piece is hemmed with
silk thread hems on the short sides and finished on the long sides. They are 45
“ wide, while the skirts have a hemmed bottom and elastic waist. We are currently offering 3yd, 2 yd, half circle and 3.5 yd veils,
and the skits are made of two half circles of silk and all of these silks can be used in so many ways besides dance.

All unique pieces are hand-dyed by
Tamsin Murray aka Nahari in an outside studio under the juniper trees of
New Mexico. This ensures the colors are rich and deep.

The dyes we use are non-toxic except if you breathe in the powder form. The colors can vary from dye lot to dye lot but we try to keep to the color represented here online. Because we hand - dye
the silk may have small flaws in it but we try to minimize these in order
to give you the best quality we can offer. used as sarongs, scarves, beach
wear, curtains, even to surround a bed in soft colored veils like in the film,
Anthony and Cleopatra
