All orders are shipped priority mail and if we have what you want in stock, which we usually do, you will have your veil within the week. I use the small priority mail boxes so the veil isn't squashed. If you need it really fast and don't mind paying for Fed Ex standard overnight, $20 for shipping instead of $5 will be added to your order. You must email me to say you want Fed Ex and I will adjust your invoice to show the new shipping cost. For international orders we use global priority which usually takes about a week. If you need it sooner contact me and I will find out how much extra it will be if we use Fed Ex. |

The regular veils are a little more than 3 yards about 115" . The children's veils are 2 yards. Many dancers have contributed to the final size choice of the veil to make it the most inspiring to great dance. |
Caring for the veil is very easy and doesn't consume much time. If you are concerned with any bleeding I highly recommend rinsing them in a white vinger rinse that is mentioned below, especially for the darker colors and the blues. Wash them seperately in cold water with a good detergent. I like the ones you use for woolens as they are very gentle and make the silk soft. After you have rinsed it out in cold water, do a second rinse with a cup of white vinegar diluted in about a gallon or two of water. Swish it around. The vinegar will keep the color better, just as you would use a shampoo made for colored hair. Do a final rinse in cold water. Hang dry. I don't use the dryer unless I take it out slightly damp and hang it, so that the static doesn't build up. This will look after any bleeding but you won't lose the color. At first the static is intense but with use will diminish. With all silks it is best to spray a little water before you iron or just before you perform to take out the static. Pulling it over a metal bar like a metal hanger will also help. It is OK to dryclean them, that will help with static also I sometimes iron the veils with a hot iron before performances and keep them hung straight so that you don't have to iron often. For travelling or storing keeping them in a ziplock bag is the best. With any silk never, ever use bleach because if you do you will just watch in horror as the silk dissolves into a guey memento of what you once had |

The best way to accomplish a perfect custom is to email me and that way we can fine tune all the details. Talking with each other gives us both the chance to give the project a clearer picture. Personally I enjoy the challenge of customs because they broaden my skills. The rainbow veils seen on the Blends and Patterns pages came from a man who wanted one for an extremely special occassion and it took a while to understand how to get all those colors on one veil as a blend without dimming the brightness. My toll free number
is 1877 684 - 8021 or my cell is 917 287 6138. With customs there is often more time needed to experiment so if you are needing it for an upcoming event allow a couple of weeks so I can get it right. With simpler projects it is not so long but I will let you know what to expect when we talk with each other. |

We do wholesale orders of 20 or more veils. The price is reduced for 50 or more. My prices are very reasonable and I ask that all wholesalers sell the veils to their customers to keep the price consistent with my retail prices. Wholesale is a great way for teachers, stores, schools, entrepeneurs and dance companies to purchase the veils and many of my wholesalers tell me the only problem they have is keeping up with the demand. Wholesale orders are specific to what I have in stock and vary in price if you ask for specific blends or customs. Often if I have many blends and patterns in stock we can go through the colors and I can choose what fits your taste. The customs featured on the Blends & Pattern pages are not for wholesale but we can see if it is possible to make something similar. My

Since the veils and the need for the right color are key to making a fantastic costume if you need to talk about it call me and I will call you back as soon as possible. We offer a money back guarantee or full trade for anyone within 15 days of purchase to ensure you get the right color. Our purchase procedure is secure and easy. Sometimes Nahari is travelling and custom work is often delayed till she can find a place on the road to work. During the months of May through November she is in New Mexico and working on creating a new inventory for the year. All the veils are hand-dyed. Dyeing is an art. Nahari enjoys finding and offering the most beautiful colors the dyes can create. The color represented in the catalogue is a photo of the veil and is as close to the color you will recieve. Colors very slightly which is natural in handyeing but the difference is minimal. Any feedback you have is welcome as it helps a great deal in learning about everything. The veils come to me white with a beautifully made hem from a company that has very good employee conditions and health insurance and pension plans so it is not a sweat shop. I hand-dye all my veils with the help of an assistant. The dyes are non toxic. I wear a respirator to ensure that I do not breathe in the dye powder because that is when they can be a danger to your health. The colors vary from batch to batch and they are rich and even. I use white vinegar to set the dyes. Some of the stronger dyes like the blues take a lot to set and still can bleed so I advise people to pre-wash them to take out any extra dye and not to wear them when they are wet or sweaty. I used to use a silk dye setting agent but the solution was made with formeldahyde and the danger to my health was not worth using such a product, so I stick with white vinegar. I do not paint on silk. There are some beautiful painted silk veils available but they are very time consuming to make and require professional skills that I haven't learnt yet. I also like to concentrate on keeping my prices low so many dancers can have silk veils of a high quality without the expense of paying for something that is too valuable to perform in public or take to class or practise at home with. I try to ensure that each veil comes to you without fault. And that each veil is something that will be special to you for a long time. They are delicate and need good care but given that, they will last and keep their lustre for a very long time. Any feedback you have is welcome as it helps a great deal in learning about everything.
